Registered Physiotherapist

Employment Type: Full Time/Part Time

The physiotherapist will provide outpatient orthopaedic physiotherapy services to a variety of clientele from elite athletes to weekend warriors. We also treat patients with chronic pain and motor vehicle accidents.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess orthopaedic injuries
  • Develop and implement treatment plans
  • Administer appropriate treatment as indicated
  • Maintain proper patient records as per the CPO guidelines
  • Interact and collaborate with other medical professionals
  • Complete Movement Screens as per the FMS and MPC protocol
  • Contribute to MPC blog and continuing education library

Requirements:

  • Registered Physiotherapist and in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
  • Degree in Physiotherapy (MScPT preferred)
  • Standard First Aid and CPR with training in AED
  • Minimum of 2 years work experience
  • FMS certified an asset
  • Functional dry needling is an asset
Registered Massage Therapist

Employment Type: Full time/Part Time

The Massage Therapist will provide therapeutic or relaxation treatments. They are responsible to help relive pain and discomfort caused by muscle over-use or other chronic pain conditions.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide the appropriate therapies and treatments to clients
  • Knead muscles and soft tissues of the body to relieve tension
  • Cupping, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, or other adjunct modalities would be an asset
  • An interest or background working with active individuals

Practitioner Support

  • Online booking/schedule/files and notes.
  • Reception to cover bookings, marketing, laundry and cashing out and rebooking each client.
  • Oils, lotions, furniture and linens.
  • Laundry service.

Requirements:

  • Registered Massage Therapist and in good standing with the College of Massage Therapist of Ontario
  • Standard First Aid and CPR with training in AED

Registered Dietitian

Employment Type: Full time/Part Time

The person in this position assists with improving and supporting a wide range of individuals in a private consultation. You will provide advice concerning their eating habits, their lifestyle and, above all, their motivation. In partnership with our team, you will contribute in helping the client reach their goals and maintain long-term healthy eating habits.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing a nutrition assessment, diet modification, nutrition education, and intervention for clients
  • Develop, implement and evaluate nutritional plans for clients according to MPC guidelines
  • Interact and collaborate with other medical professionals
  • Educate clients and team members regarding nutrition and hydration information
  • Contribute to MPC blog and continuing education library

Requirements:

  • Member of the College of Dietitians of Ontario
  • Bachelor’s degree in nutrition
  • 3-5 years experience is preferred
  • Excellent organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety practices, principles and legislation.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential
  • Work effectively in a team-based work environment
Fitness Coach

Employment Type: Full time/Part Time

Movement Performance Centre fitness specialist will assists with improving and maintaining functional independence and physical performance; preventing and managing pain, physical impairments, disabilities and limits to participation and promoting fitness health and wellness. As well, will assists in the day-to-day running of the facility as it relates to office procedures and the promotion of the Clinic as a Health Care business.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides strength and conditioning services to clients in a private, semi-private or group setting
  • Producing subjective reports and objective evaluations
  • Design and implementation of strength and conditioning programs based on the individualized need of the clients
  • Evaluation of health status as a baseline for monitoring or determining results or effectiveness of intervention with clients
  • Educate clients with transferring knowledge and skills to promote independence, competence, management and prevention
  • Demonstrates him/herself to be a suitable role model of good health practices for the clients, other staff, and the public
  • Complete Movement Screens as per the FMS and MPC protocol
  • Performs other related duties that may become necessary from time to time

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology or Equivalent
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team
  • Must be computer literate and able to utilize electronic documentation and communication resources, e.g. Excel, Word, etc.
  • Standard First Aid and CPR with training in AED

Administrative Assistant

The person in this position is responsible for the organization and evaluation of the services provided by a multi-disciplinary clinic. Duties include assisting in the day-to-day running of the facility as it relates to office procedures, billing and the promotion of the facility as a Health & Wellness business.

Responsibilities Include

  • Manage phone calls, email, and schedule of each Practitioner
  • Act as point of contact, when necessary, between clients and practitioners
  • Manage schedules and communicate regularly with clients
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail and courier packages
  • Managing all financial aspects of the clinic and establish revenue sources from a variety of areas including extended health care, fee-for-service contracts to support the clinic
  • Develop and foster partnerships to help support the facility
  • Continually evaluate the current clinic design and future expansion
  • Responsible for all reception and clerical duties including customer service, answering of telephones, computer entry, point of sale machine, daily deposits, preparing and serving invoices, record keeping, filing and typing of all letters to accompany invoices to clients
  • Manage office supplies and file organization
  • Assisting in various daily janitorial operations
  • Manage all social media platforms

Required experience

  • Minimum 1-3 years of previous experience in administration, reception, office coordinator

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) and the Windows environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Always maintain a professional demeanor and a positive service attitude
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $17.00-$20.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekends
